Fashion Camp: Monday, July 21st- Friday, July 25th; 9:00am-12:15pm or 1:00-4:15pm

You don’t have to sign up for the entire week of Summer Camp (you do for Fashion Camp!)

I understand that summer gets busy and it may be hard to commit to an entire week of sewing, so that is why I give the option of enrolling for the whole week, or simply signing up for whichever days/classes that interest you! As of right now, I have both morning and afternoon slots scheduled. However, if classes are less than half full, I will be condensing to the morning slots. With that said, I fully anticipate a full schedule and if classes fill up, I will form a waitlist and open up a later afternoon session for those interested! Classes will be limited to 6 kids per class, so be sure to sign up early. If classes are full and you want to join, please send me a message and I’ll get you on my waitlist!

All of my summer camp classes are beginner level classes. I do have some advanced variations on projects for more skilled sewers.

Camp is open for kids ages 8-18 . (click here to read my policies/procedures). Students must understand the basics of sewing in order to be enrolled in camp, as we will be making projects each day and not spending the class time to teach these basics. Basic skills include: familiarity with your machine (including names of parts and how to use it), how to sew straight lines and follow seam allowances, understanding stitch length, stitch width and tension and of course threading your top thread and bobbin. Please have your child review these things if it has been a while since they’ve sewn. If this is your child’s first time sewing and they do not have these skills yet, no worries! You can enroll your child into my sewing basics class by clicking here. This is a prerequisite for beginners to join summer camp!

A few things to know for Summer Camp

Payment Information: The cost for each class is $35. This cost includes all of the materials they will need for their projects. Upon registration, a $10 [per class] non-refundable deposit is required within 48 hours. This is to cover your materials fee. If you drop the class, I still have to pay for materials, which is why this fee is not refundable. The remainder of your balance is due before the start of camp: June 20th. If deposits are not received, or your balance is not paid by the deadline, your child will be dropped.
I will have a variety of fabrics to choose from! What you see in the samples isn’t the only fabric available!
Please arrive on time to class so that we can start right away. It’s really hard to stop the class and catch students up who are late. You may arrive 5 minutes early, but please wait until 5 minutes before the start of class to come up to the door as I only have a small window between classes to clean up and get ready for the next class (I usually open the door when I am ready 😉 )
Please don’t sign up if you aren’t sure that you will attend. If you do sign up for a class but end up needing to drop, please let me know asap so that your spot can go to somebody else. I only have a limited number of spots available!

I will be on vacation from May 30th-June 14th. Any emails or texts received during that time will likely not be answered until I return. Please don’t be upset if you don’t hear back from me during that timeframe!

*Students will need to bring all of their basic sewing supplies!! To make camp run more smoothly, please check their sewing boxes before camp to make sure that your child has everything on the list 🙂
