Summer Camp 2026
**REGISTRATION FOR SUMMER CLASSES ARE NOW OPEN!!**
Summer Fun Workshops: Tuesday June 30th and Wednesday July 1st; 10:00am-12:30 pm or 1:00-3:30pm
Mini Camp: Upcycling: Tuesday, July 28th- Thursday, July 30th; 10:00am-12:30 pm or 1:00-3:30pm
As you may have noticed, I do not have full weeks of camp this year. I’m sad to shorten our sewing time, but my summer is extremely packed and I’m unable to offer full camp or fashion camp this year.
BUT…there is still some fun sewing time to be had!! I hope you’ll join me!
Summer Fun Workshops: Camp Favorites & 4th of July Workshops, $40 each
Join me for either or both days to choose what project you want to sew! For the first day, I will have kits prepped for some of our favorite projects from summer camps of the past: water bottle holders, stuffed goose, drawstring backpacks, kitchen dress towels, beach towel backpacks… just to name a few!! I have lots of fun kits to choose from!!
Mini Camp: Upcycling, $120 (for all 3 days)
I’m really excited to be offering a three-day upcycling mini-camp!! For these 3 days, students will come and learn about how to have fun by upcycling (re-purposing) materials. Some materials might include old jeans/denim, t-shirts, sheets, curtains, etc. Things they can sew during our camp include clothing, home decor, purses, or other crafty projects! I have a whole board of inspiration for students to draw from, or they can come with their own ideas! I will provide plenty of materials for them to choose from, but they are also welcome to bring materials from their home if they have something they’d like to re-purpose. The amount of projects they come home with will vary, based on how complex of a project they choose. It might be one, it might three. It just depends on what they want to make!
Additional Information
All of my summer camp classes can be adapted from beginner level classes to intermediate and advanced. Since students can select which projects they want to make, we can adapt them to their skill level 🙂
Camp is open for kids ages 8-18 . (click here to read my policies/procedures). Students must understand the basics of sewing in order to be enrolled in camp, as we will be making projects each day and not spending the class time to teach these basics. Basic skills include: familiarity with your machine (including names of parts and how to use it), how to sew straight lines and follow seam allowances, understanding stitch length, stitch width and tension and of course threading your top thread and bobbin. Please have your child review these things if it has been a while since they’ve sewn. If this is your child’s first time sewing and they do not have these skills yet, reach out and we may be able to set up a private lesson for sewing basics!
A few things to know for Summer Camp
- Payment Information: The cost for each workshop class is $40, or $110 for the mini camp. This cost includes all of the materials they will need for their projects. Upon registration, a $10 [per class] non-refundable deposit is required within 48 hours. This is to cover your materials fee. If you drop the class, I still have to pay for materials, which is why this fee is not refundable. The remainder of your balance is due before the start of camp. If deposits are not received, or your balance is not paid by the deadline, your child will be dropped.Â
- I will have a variety of fabrics to choose from! What you see in the samples isn’t the only fabric available!Â
- Please arrive on time to class so that we can start right away. It’s really hard to stop the class and catch students up who are late. You may arrive 5 minutes early, but please wait until 5 minutes before the start of class to come up to the door as I only have a small window between classes to clean up and get ready for the next class (I will open the door when I am ready 😉 )
- Please don’t sign up if you aren’t sure that you will attend. If you do sign up for a class but end up needing to drop, please let me know asap so that your spot can go to somebody else. I only have a limited number of spots available!
- I will be on vacation from June 3rd-June 16th. Any emails or texts received during that time will likely not be answered until I return. Please don’t be upset if you don’t hear back from me during that timeframe!
*Students will need to bring all of their basic sewing supplies!! To make camp run more smoothly, please check their sewing boxes before camp to make sure that your child has everything on the list 🙂
REGISTRATION WILL BE OPEN BY MONDAY, MAY 18TH!!! PLEASE CHECK BACK TO REGISTER!!!!
