Description
This class is for beginning students who have completed sewing basics (or at least know how to use their sewing machines); it is for adult’s only!
In this class, you will be learning about fabric layout and cutting and will be growing your sewing skills. On this project you will learn basic seam sewing along with how to hem! You’ll go home with a completed pillowcase at the end of the night!
You WILL need to purchase your own fabric for this class, which you can easily get at Michael’s, Hobby Lobby, Walmart, or a local quilt shop. It should be 100% woven cotton (it might be called quilter’s cotton-that works!)
You will need:
- 5/8 yard of one fabric print
- 1/3 yard of a contrasting fabric print
(see picture below to understand how we’ll be using the 2 different fabrics)
***Please pre-wash and dry your fabric before class. Pre-washing is important because it pre-shrinks your fabric. It also eliminates chemicals used in the fabric-making process and leaves your fabric feeling softer.
