How to make a binky bib in 20 minutes

Can I go back to when my kids were babies? Not just because they were so snuggly and cuddly, but because there are so many cool baby things now that I missed out on! Take this binky bib, for example.

I saw this idea on pinterest when my nephew (the adorable model in the picture) was a baby and I loved the concept! Two of my babies were binky babies and I hated it when we’d lose the binky. I tried the pacifier leashes, but even those sometimes came loose. I think the bib is a fabulous idea, especially when they get into the teething phase and are drooling all the time! It serves double duty-catching their drool and keeping track of the binky!

I may be out of the baby phase with my own baby, but lucky for me I have a new baby nephew and a baby grandson on the way! I decided to make some bibs for one of my nephews last year. I created my own pattern and did a few test runs to make sure I was happy with the fit and design. I now make these bibs for all the new babies in my family and I also sell them in my etsy shop. I’ve gotten great feedback from my customers!

Making a binky bib isn’t too hard at all. If you have a basic knowledge of sewing, you can make one of these bibs. I love using minky fabric because it is so soft and cuddly. It is a bit trickier to work with, since it has a stretch, but it isn’t too bad. You can make them out of flannel if you don’t like dealing with stretch. All you do is cut out the front side, the back side, sew them together and add some snaps. Easy peasy! You can make this bib in about 20 minutes!
