2 Day Workshop: Squishmallows

Description

By popular demand, I am offering a 2 day workshop making customized Squishmallows! I did this project at my learning centers and they were a HUGE hit! So, I decided to offer a workshop for my other students who wanted to make these.

This is a beginning-intermediate project, which means that students should have some experience under their belts other than sewing basics. A semester of Sewing 1 or several workshops would be sufficient. If you aren’t sure if your child is ready for this class, feel free to reach out and ask me!

Students will be able to create their own squishmallow creature. They can choose from the patterns I have, or create their own. If they want to create their own, keep in mind that all squishmallows have the same base for the body/belly, so students would only need to create the add-ons (limbs, such as wings, feet, ears, etc). If they want to create their own, they should come to class on the first day prepared with their pattern pieces.

All materials are included!!

This project uses stretchy/knit fabric, so students will need jersey/ballpoint sewing machine needles! You can purchase them at Joann’s or buy them HERE.

The creature patterns I have available include: butterfly, bunny, bumble bee, sting ray, octopus, and elephant.
