Description
I’m excited to be offering my first-ever upcycling camp!!
In this three-day, “mini” camp, students will be selecting their own projects with repurposed materials. With so much waste in the world, this class will teach students how to be mindful of resources and how to utilize and repurpose materials such as old jeans/denim, collared shirts, small scraps of fabrics, sheets, etc and turn it into something they will love!
Camp can be adapted for all sewing levels, from beginning to advanced! Students do need sewing basics as a prerequisite to join. Please understand that the number of projects the students will make entirely depends on the complexity of the projects they choose. They could make one project, or they could make 3 projects; that’s up to them! I will have inspiration boards and a variety of materials out for students to be inspired and get their ideas flowing. If they have something specific in mind with materials they have at home, they should bring that to class! Otherwise, they will put their creativity to the test with whatever materials I have available 🙂
Students should be able to commit to the full 3 days before signing up. If both sessions do not fill up, I may condense them into the earlier time slot. Space is limited to 6 per time slot. Please understand that when you sign up for a spot, that spot is eliminated for anyone else to sign up, and I also factor your child into my prep/materials that go into the class. For this reason, camp fees will be due in full by Friday, July 24th and no refunds will be given after that time.
As a reminder, I open my doors five minutes before class begins. If you arrive earlier than that, please wait in your cars until it’s time for class. I can’t wait to sew with your kids, but I always need my prep time, especially between sessions 😉
The photos below are purely inspirational upcycling photos, and not anything that is set in stone for this class.
